Lyman Holmes Excavating is family-run company serving homeowners, businesses, contractors and landscapers in Tweed and surrounding area for the last 70 years. Lyman Holmes secured his first trucking licence in 1946 and delivered merchandise such as baked goods, cream, grains and salt blocks in the Tweed area and as far away as Plevna. After WW2 ended brother Morley came home from the war and joined forces with Lyman to form “Holmes Bros. Transport”. This partnership lasted until 1953 and has since been known solely as Lyman Holmes Trucking and/or Excavating.
